Often unilateral and asymmetric</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h2>Etiology</h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Arcuate disruption of the peripheral corneal surface sparing the limbus</li>\n\t<li>Likely to occur in superior region of cornea normally covered by the upper eyelid</li>\n</ul>\n\n<h2>Prevalence</h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Rare.
